Algebra I Lesson Plan 02/27-03/03

Monday:

Students will be reviewing domain, range & function notation. Students will receive a packet covering questions covering domain, range & function notation. I will be going over questions in the packet together with the class. Once finished, students will be given the remainder of the class period to work on questions in the packet. The packet will be due Friday of this week. Today’s objective is to review domain, range & function notation in preparation for the STARR test.

Tuesday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering simplifying algebraic expressions. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.7.1 Adding & Subtracting Polynomials. Today’s objective is for students to be able to identify the degrees in a monomial & trinomial as well as add & subtract polynomials. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment covering adding 7 subtracting polynomials that will be due at the end of the class period.

Wednesday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering adding & subtracting polynomials. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will continue with Ch.7.1 Adding & Subtracting Polynomials. Today’s objective is for students to be able to find the sum & the difference of multistep polynomials. Students will receive an online HW Assignment covering Ch.7.1 that will be due Friday of this week.

Students will receive an entry assignment covering adding & subtracting polynomials. Once finished will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.7.2 Multiplying Polynomials. Today’s objective is for students to be able to multiply polynomials using either the distributive, table or foil method. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment that will be due at the end of the class period.

I will be out all day due to a baseball tournament. Students will receive an assignment covering adding, subtracting & multiplying polynomials. Students will have the class period to complete the assignment.
