Geometry Lesson Plan 03/27-03/31

Monday:

Upon entering the classroom, students will receive an entry assignment covering simplifying expressions & solving proportions. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.9.1 The Pythagorean Theorem. Today’s objective is for students to be able to using the pythagorean theorem to solving sides of a triangle & identify pythagorean triples, as well as some of their multiples. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment that will be due at the end of the class period.

Tuesday:

Upon entering the classroom, students will receive an entry assignment covering the pythagorean theorem in finding side lengths of a triangle & identifying pythagorean triples as well as their multiples. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will continue with Ch.9.1 The Pythagorean Theorem. Today’s objective is for students to be able to apply the pythagorean inequalities theorem. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment that will be due at the end of the class period, as well as an online HW Assignment that will be due Tuesday of next week.

Today’s objective is to solve side lengths using the 45-45-90 special right triangle theorem. Students will be given an exit ticket assessment covering 45-45-90 right triangles that will be due at the end of the class period.

Next, we will continue with Ch.9.2 Special Right Triangles. Today’s objective is to solve side lengths using the 30-60-90 special right triangles theorem. Students will be given an online HW Assignment covering Ch.9.2 that will be due Tuesday of this week.
