Geometry Lesson Plan 04/03-04/07

Monday:

Upon entering the classroom, students will receive an entry assignment covering the pythagorean inequalities theorem in classifying triangles. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.9.2 Special Right Triangles. Today’s objective is to solve side lengths using the 45-45-90 special right triangle theorem. Students will be given an exit ticket assessment covering 45-45-90 right triangles that will be due at the end of the class period.

Upon entering the classroom, students will receive an entry assignment covering 45-45-90 right triangles. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will continue with Ch.9.2 Special Right Triangles. Today’s objective is to solve side lengths using the 30-60-90 special right triangles theorem. Students will be given an online HW Assignment covering Ch.9.2 that will be due Tuesday of this week.

Next, we will begin Ch.9.3 Similar Right Triangles. Today’s objective is for students to be able to identify similar right triangles based on the right triangle similarity theorems. Students will receive an exit ticket assignment covering identifying similar right triangles that will be due at the end of the class period.

Upon entering the classroom students will receive an entry assignment covering the right triangle similarity theorem. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will continue with Ch.9.3 Similar Right Triangles. Today’s objective is for students to be able to solve side lengths in similar right triangles based on the geometric mean theorem. Students will receive a HW Assignment covering Ch.9.3 that will be due tomorrow.

Upon entering the classroom, students will receive an entry assignment covering similar right triangles. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.9.4 the tangent ratio. Today’s objective is for students to be able to solve angle measures & side lengths of triangle based on the tangent ratio. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment covering the tangent ratio that will be due at the end of the class period.
