Algebra I Lesson Plan 9/12-9/16

Monday:

To begin class, students will receive an entry assignment covering solving inequalities using addition & subtraction. Once students have completed the entry assignment, we will go over each of the questions together. Next, we will begin Ch.2.3 Solving Inequalities Using Multiplication & Division. Today’s objective is to reinforce solving inequalities using addition & subtraction, as well as for students to understand how to Solve Inequalities using Multiplication & Division. Students will receive a homework assignment covering solving inequalities using multiplication & division that will be due Wednesday of this week.

Tuesday:

* HW Assignment DUE: Ch.2.2 Pg. 57 #3-6, 9-12, 21-24

As students enter the classroom, students will turn in Ch.2.2 HW Assignment that was issued Friday of last week. Once the HW Assignment has been turned in, students will begin the entry assignment that covers solving inequalities using multiplication & division. Next, we will review Ch.2.1-2.3 is preparation for the the test that will be given Wednesday (tomorrow). Students will receive a review worksheet covering writing, graphing & solving inequalities.

Ch.2.1-2.3 Test Today. Students will be assessed on writing, graphing & solving inequalities.

Thursday:

To begin class, students will be given an entry assignment covering solving inequalities. Once students have finished the entry assignment, we will go over each of the questions together. Next, we will begin Ch.2.4 Solving Multi-Step Inequalities; today’s objective is for students to understand how to solve inequalities using multiplication, addition & subtraction in multi-steps. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment covering solving multi-step inequalities using multiplication, addition & subtraction that will be due at the end of class.

Friday:

Upon entering the classroom, students will be given an entry assessment covering solving multi-step inequalities using multiplication, addition, & subtraction. Once finished with the entry assignment, we will go over each of the questions together. Next, we will finish up Ch.2.4 Solving Multi-Step Inequalities; today’s objective is for students to understand how to solve inequalities using division, addition, & subtraction. Students will receive a HW Assignment covering Ch.2.4 Solving Multi-Step Inequalities that will be due Tuesday of next.
