Algebra Lesson Plan 11/7-11/11

Monday:

Students will get out Ch.4.1-4.3 Test Review. We will go over each question together in class in preparation for Ch.4.1-4.3 Test, which will be Tuesday(tomorrow) of this week. Today’s objection is to review standard form, slope-intercept form & point-slope form equations.

Tuesday:

Students will be taking Ch.4.1-4.3 Test. Today’s objective is to assess the level of mastery over standard form, slope-intercept form & point-slope form equations.

Wednesday:

Students will receive an entry assignment upon entering the classroom covering graphing standard, slope-intercept & point-slope form equations. Once finished with the entry assignment, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.4.4 Parallel & Perpendicular Lines. Today’s objective is for students to be able to recognize if a pair of line are parallel or perpendicular based of the slopes of the lines. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment that covers identifying parallel & perpendicular lines that will be due at the end of the class period.

Thursday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering identifying parallel & perpendicular lines based on slope’s of lines. Once finished with the entry assignment, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will finish up Ch.4.4 Parallel & Perpendicular Lines. Today’s objective is for students to be able to determine parallel & perpendicular lines based on ordered pairs & slope. Students will receive Ch.4.4 HW Assignment that will be Tuesday of next week.

Friday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering plotting points on a graph & evaluating the information on the graph. Once students have completed the entry assignment, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.4.5 Scatter Plots & Lines of Fit. Today’s objective is for students to be able to determine correlations of a scatter plot & identify a good line of fit. Students will receive a HW Assignment covering scatter plots & lines of fit that will be due Tuesday of next week.
