Students will get out their Ch.7 review from Friday of last week. We will go over each of the questions together as a class in preparation for a test on Tuesday of this week. The review covers Angles of Polygons, Properties of Parallelograms, Proving a Quadrilateral in a Parallelogram, Properties of Parallelograms & Properties of Trapezoids & Kites.

Students will be taking Ch.7 test today. The test will cover Angles of Polygons, Properties of Parallelograms, Proving a Quadrilateral in a Parallelogram, Properties of Parallelograms & Properties of Trapezoids & Kites. Students will have the class period to complete the test.

Wednesday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering determining whether ratios form a proportion & finding a scale factor. Once finished we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.8.1 Similar Polygons. Today’s objective is for students to be able to solve angle measures & side lengths using the perimeters of similar polygons & areas of similar polygons theorems. Students will receive an online HW Assignment covering Ch.8.1 that will be due Friday of this week.

Students will be receive an entry assignment covering solving angle measures & side lengths using similar polygons. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.8.2 Proving Triangle Similarity by AA. Today’s objective is for students to be able to determine is triangles are similar by AA. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment covering Ch.8.2 that will be due at the end of the class period.

I will be out all day today due to a baseball tournament. Students will receive an online assignment covering Similar Polygons & Proving Triangle Similarity by AA. Students will be given the class period to complete the assignment.
