Monday:

Upon entering the classroom, students will receive an entry assignment covering identifying functions. Once students have completed the entry assignment, we will go over each of the questions together in class. Next, we will continue & finish up Ch.3.1 Functions. Today’s objective is to reinforce identifying functions & for students to be able to determine domain, range, independent & dependent variables of functions. Students will receive a HW Assignment covering Ch.3.1 that will be due Wednesday of this week.

Tuesday:

Upon entering the classroom, students will receive an entry assignment covering identifying domain, range, independent & dependent variables in functions. Once finished, we will go over each of the entry assignment questions together in class. Next, we will begin Ch.3.2 Linear Functions. Today’s objective is for students to be able to identify linear functions based on a table, graph & slope. Students will receive an exit ticket assessment covering identifying linear functions & non-linear functions that will be due at the end of class.

Wednesday:

*HW Assignment DUE: Ch.3.1 Pg.94 #3-8, 13-20

Students will turn in Ch.3.1 HW Assignment BEFORE entering the classroom. When Ch.3.1 HW Assignment has been handed in, students will then begin the entry assignment that will cover identifying linear & non-linear functions. Once students have completed the entry assignment, we will then go over each of the entry assignment questions together as a class. Next, we will finish up Ch.3.2 Linear Functions. Today’s objective is for students to be able to identify & graph discreet & continuous domain of linear functions. Students will receive a HW Assignment covering Ch.3.2 Linear Functions that will be due Friday of this week.

Once students have finished the entry assignment, we will go over each of the entry assignment questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.3.3 Function Notation. Today’s objective is for students to be able to put a function in function notation & evaluate function when given the dependent variable. Students will receive an entry assignment covering putting functions in function notation & evaluating functions when given the dependent variable that will be due at the end of the class period.

Friday:

*HW Assignment DUE: Ch.3.2 Pg.103 #7-10, 11-14, 17, 18

Students will turn in Ch.3.2 HW Assignment BEFORE entering the classroom. When Ch.3.2 HW Assignment has been handed in, students will then begin the entry assignment that will cover putting functions in function notation & evaluating functions when given the dependent variable. Once students have finished the entry assignment, we will then go over each of the questions together. Next, we will continue & finish up Ch.3.3 Function Notation. Today’s objective is for students to be able to evaluate functions when given the independent variable. Students will receive a HW Assignment covering Ch.3.3 that will be due Tuesday of next week.
