Geometry Lesson Plan 02/06-02/10

Monday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering using centroids to find lengths in triangles. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together. Next, we will continue with Ch.6.3 Medians & Altitudes of Triangles. Today’s objective is for students to be able to determine whether an orthocenter is located in, on or outside a triangle, as well as being able to find the coordinates of an orthocenter. Students will receive a HW Assignment that will be due Wednesday of this week.

Tuesday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering finding the centroid & orthocenter of a triangle. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will review Perpendicular & Angle Bisectors, Bisectors of Triangles, Medians & Altitudes of Triangles in preparation for a test on Wednesday. Test Review will be due tomorrow. Today’s objective is to review & check for understanding of Ch.6.1, 6.2, & 6.3 in preparation for a test tomorrow.

Wednesday:

Students will be testing over Ch.6.1 Perpendicular & Angle Bisectors, Ch.6.2 Bisectors of Triangles, & Ch.6.3 Medians & Altitudes of Triangles. Today’s objective is to assess students knowledge of Ch.6.1, 6.2, 6.3.

Thursday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering finding in the midpoint of a line. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will begin Ch.6.4 The Triangle Midsegment Theorem. Today’s objective is for students to be able to use midsegments in a coordinate plane. Students will receive an exit ticket assignment covering using midsegments in a coordinate plane that will be due at the end of class period.

Friday:

Students will receive an entry assignment covering using midsegments in a coordinate plane. Once finished, we will go over each of the questions together as a class. Next, we will continue with Ch.6.4 Triangle Midsegment Theorem. Today’s objective is for students to be write a proof using the triangle midsegment theorem & use the triangle midsegment theorem to find side lengths. Students will receive an online HW Assignment covering Ch.6.4 Triangle Midsegment Theorem that will be due Tuesday of next week.
